European Vehicles Sales (EVS), led by Richard Mills, is a dynamic automotive retailer expanding with two new locations in Grimsby and Sandtoft. Keen to create a high-quality look across both sites, Richard turned to Elite Sign Grimsby for bespoke external signage and branding elements.

The brief was clear: deliver signage that’s modern and consistent across both locations, bringing EVS’s brand to life. This included revitalising existing signage where possible and producing two custom-branded flags to enhance site visibility.
Richard aimed to have the Sandtoft site’s signage installed before the Christmas break, just five weeks from initial contact. The project was further complicated by the need to work at height above an awkward sloped roof, which required careful planning to secure the right access equipment and navigate unpredictable winter weather to ensure a safe and timely installation.
To meet the brief, we proposed two signage options for the main site:
Option 1: Refurbished Lightboxes
Upgraded existing units with 3mm aluminium trays, router-cut for the EVS logo/text, backed with opal acrylic and printed graphics for black-lit illumination.
Option 2: Flex Face System
Modern powder-coated frames (135mm & 89mm deep) with internal LEDs and printed flex face skins for bold, illuminated branding.
Flag Printing
Two double-sided flags—one EVS logo, one Union Jack—digitally printed on knitted polyester with block-out lining, finished for durable outdoor use.
Our team provided the artwork layouts and visuals for the customer to approve, as well as overseeing the production and installation of all the signs
Materials and Technologies used
Illuminated LED Slimline Econoflex Systems with Printed Flexface Skins were used and digitally printed knitted polyester Flags, double-sided with block out interlining, hemmed all round and finished with loop and toggle.
The finished signage has transformed both sites, giving EVS a polished and consistent brand presence. With improved visibility and a contemporary design aesthetic, the signage sets the tone for EVS’s future growth.
